A new train service between Gaya and Mumbai (Lokmanya Tilak Terminal) was flagged off by Union Women and Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi from Koderma station on 13 October. The aim of this service is to further strengthen the connectivity between Bihar, Jharkhand and Mumbai. This will also promote religious places and tourism.
Train Features and Time Table
The new train 22358/22357 Gaya-Lokmanya Tilak Express will run once a week. This train from Gaya will leave every Wednesday at 7 pm and will reach Lokmanya Tilak Terminal Mumbai at 5:50 am on Friday. Whereas, in return, this train will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminal at 1:15 pm on Friday and reach Gaya at 10:50 pm on Saturday night.
Travel Routes and Stations
Gaya-Mumbai Express will stop at several major stations on its route. These include important stations in Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra. Its major stops will be Koderma, Hazaribagh Town, Ranchi, Hatia, Rourkela, Bilaspur, Raipur, Nagpur, Nashik Road and Kalyan. Air-conditioned, sleeper and ordinary class coaches are available in this train. This has ensured comfortable travel for different classes of passengers.
